Frieda Belle Hows McGee

Frieda Belle (Hows) McGee, age 80 of Donelson, TN, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016. Preceded in death by her husband, Earl Leon McGee; parents, Robert Talmadge and Jammie Doveline Hows; sister, Dorothy Joan Curtis; brother, Robert Clayton Hows. Survived by her children, Jeffrey Leon (Wendy) McGee and Janet Ann Attkisson; grandchildren, Eric Landon, Kelsey Leeann and Allison Lynn McGee, Justin Hill Attkisson and Jessica Ann (Ben) Polston; great grandchildren, Sophia, Evie and Henry Polston; sister, Patsy Ruth Robison. Frieda was born and raised in Bellevue, TN where she attended Bellevue High School. She married Leon McGee and after 6 years, they moved to Donelson, TN. They would spend their life together on Western Hills raising their 2 children. Frieda worked several years as the administrative assistant for the Head Chef at Opryland Hotel. After Leon passed, Frieda moved to smaller residences but still remained in the Donelson/Hermitage area. She was a member of Lincoya Hills Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 2 pm Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Ben Polston, Brent Logue, Derrick Bentley, Lance Bentley, Eric McGee and Justin Attkisson will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation with the family 4 – 7 pm Monday and 1 – 2 pm Tuesday.
