Gladys Mae Edwards Odum, Age 85, November 24, 2012. Mrs. Odum was born October 14, 1927 in Athens, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Odum, Sr.; parents, Lummie Edwards and Lillie Turner Edwards; brothers, Jessie Edwards, Walter Edwards; sisters, Vera Jackson, Louise Webb.
Survived by daughters, Linda (Charles) Tidwell, Wanda (Jerry) Holt; son, James (Sharon) Odum, Jr.; Grandchildren, Dawn (Jason) Fox, Carla (Todd) Reaves, Kelly Holt, Christy Odum, Mindy (Jeremy) Presson; Great-Grandchildren, Emory Fox, Ellison Fox, Turner Reaves, Carson Reaves; many special brothers and sisters-in-law.
Life Celebration 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Grace Place (Hermitage Church of God). Dr. Kimberly Majeski officiating. Graveside and interment service will be held at noon on Wednesday at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Sunday school class of Grace Place. Memorial donations made be made to Grace Place – Hermitage Church of God for the Gladys Odum Camp Scholarship fund. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN.
