

McINTURFF, Gloria Ovena 78 years old “or ’39 and counting” of Nashville, died Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Alive Hospice. Born November 23, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Edith Cammarata; older brother Jimmy Cammarata. She married James E. Graves, Jr. in April 1952, (deceased). Married Harold H. McInturff in September, 1986. Mrs. McInturff was a long-time member of Hermitage United Methodist Church, HUMC Chancel Choir, and the Ballinger Sunday School Class. She loved people, enjoyed gardening and cooking Italian food, caring for stray animals and birds, cruise travels, RV trips, music, dancing and her grandchildren. Lover of all creatures great and small, especially her cat Patches, and her many grandcats and dogs. She is survived by husband, Harold H. McInturff; children, Gloria Graves Gregory, Jim (Pam) Graves, John D. Graves; grandchildren, Courtney Graves, Joseph (Kelsey) Graves, Jordan Graves, Nicole Graves and Nick Gregory. Funeral service to be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday December 21, 2010 at Hermitage United Methodist Church with Rev. Allen Black officiating, entombment to follow in Hermitage Funeral Home Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to thank friends and extended family members for prayers and support. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society. Gentle, kind-hearted and brave to the end, she loved and was loved in return.
