

After marriage, Mrs. Burfield kept busy as a homemaker raising three boys and working as a helpmate to her husband. Through the years, she would find time for her favorite television shows and always had a garden of vegetables and flowers. She was a long-time member of the Tulip Grove Baptist Church. She loved well – she was well-loved – and she will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Burfield is preceded in death by her father, Clarence henry martin; her mother, Lura Mae (Knight) Martin; her husband of forty-one years, Leonard E. Burfield, a son, Mark E. Burfield; and siblings Carl martin, Alma Brookover, Willadeen Ziemer, Earl Martin, Steve martin, Norma Cole, and Elmer Martin.
Mrs. Burfield is survived by her son, Deane Burfield; son, Todd Burfield; grandson, Matthew Burfield; twin granddaughters, Gina Burfield and Jessica Burfield; great granddaughter, Brooklyn Jenkins; and sisters, Janet Norman (Garner), Karen Ice (Larry), and Eileen Gibson (Lou).
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends on Friday, December 1, from 11:00am – 1:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00pm in the Tulip Grove Room at the funeral home with Pastor Chase Sears, Senior Pastor of Tulip Grove Baptist Church officiating. Following the service, Mrs. Burfield will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
