She is survived by her daughter Rachel Reno (James); grandsons Eric (Velena) and Jason Slayman; granddaughters Amy Reno, Morgan Kelly and Laurel Baldwin; great grandchildren Niketa Reno, Emma Kelly, Katherine Alvarez, Hannah Slayman and Levi Slayman; and sister Geraldine Green.
Irene is preceded in death by her husband Jack L. Kelly; daughter Phyllis Baldwin; sisters Joan Burchfield and Liza Fouts; brother Walden Butters.
A Gathering of Family & Friends for Irene will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Hermitage Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life take place Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM in the Tulip Grove Room at the funeral home with Pastor Don Green officiating. A graveside service will occur Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN 37221.
