He is preceded in death by his parents, James Benson Williams Sr. and Ann Butler Williams; step-father, Frank Clay Sr.; brother, Frank Clay Jr.; brothers-in-law, Bud Hamilton, Walter Hamilton, and Bobby Hamilton, and sister-in-law, Shirley Hamilton.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly Hamilton; children, Troy Williams, Tina Williams, Jessica Williams, and Robby McCormick and his wife, Joanna; beloved aunts, Helen Swope and Marjorie Chapman; grandchildren, Dillon McCormick, Bree, Deah, Hayden, and Meela; loving cousins, Ricky and Lisa Craddock, Wesley Adair and Pam Turner; sister-in-law, Bobbie Mooney; two precious fur babies, Puddin and Buddy; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Jimmy was a softhearted and fun-loving man with an incredible sense of humor. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He loved his family, friends, and all of God’s children beyond belief. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed gambling. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The Celebration of Jimmy's Life will be on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Hermitage Funeral Home with visitation an hour prior to the service.
Military Honors & Inurnment will be on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Nashville National Cemetery, 1420 Gallatin Pike South, Madison, Tennessee 37115.
