

Mr. King was a graduate of North High School in Nashville and served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Professionally, he worked in the printing and engraving industry as a pre-press manager before starting his own pre-press company prior to his retirement.
Mr. King had many friends and was a man of varied interests and hobbies. He was a licensed ham-radio operator and also grew prize-winning roses. He was an avid outdoorsman and a skilled craftsman. He spent many hours in his shop cutting and faceting stones, making jewelry, pens, or turning wood to make other beautiful items. He loved working with his hands and became an expert in each endeavor. He will be greatly missed.
He is predeceased by his father, Frank Cordell King, his mother, Eula (Williams) King, and a son, Jeffrey Ray King. He is survived by his loving wife, Geneva (Steele) King; and his sons, Ricky King (Paula), Brian Kemp (Tammy), and Ronald Scott Kemp (Lori); daughter-in-law, Sherry King Smith; grandchildren Sarah Rivas (Michael), Laura Michael (Max), Daniel King (Brooke), Rebecca Butterworth (Chet), Samuel King, Jessica Theriot (Jonathan), Joshua King, Hannah King, Kevin Kemp (Kelsey), Jaelyn Wilkerson, Will Kemp (Joan Marie), and Kaiti Cowe (Zack); and great grandchildren Josiah, Caleb, Ruby, Sage, Abigail, Lucy, Oliver, Ava, Arwyn, Ireland, and Ethan.
There will be a Graveside Memorial Service on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 10:30am at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family by selecting “Add a Memory” at the bottom of this page.
