

He was born in Scott’s Hollow, TN, to the late William David Stanton and Clara Bell Carter Stanton. Eddie graduated from Goodlettsville High School in 1951. He worked for 40 years at Ford Motor Co. in Nashville then Tulsa, OK, as a supervisor. He was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville where he was a Deacon and a Sunday school teacher. Eddie was a devoted follower of Christ, trusting friend, and Godly example to all he met. He loved watching Old Western movies and TV shows, and was an avid fan of the Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Braves. Eddie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Stanton Anno.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Katherine Hackney Stanton; son, Eddie Duane Stanton; daughter, Alane Stanton Anno; granddaughters, Kara Stanton and Alexa Anno; great grandchildren, Kaiden, Alivia, Skylah, and Kynslee; and brother, Houston Stanton.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Monday, May 6, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm.
The Celebration of Life will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 12:00 pm with Richard Gaia officiating.
Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
