Jarrett was a mechanical Engineer for the State of Tennessee. He was an avid fan of the greatest college football team of all time, the Crimson Tide from the University of Alabama. Jarrett enjoyed playing the drums back in his college days, and was in a band called The Iron Orchard. Jarrett was recorded playing the drums for Coventry, a female sitar psych artist, on the song "Around the Corner There's A Man" produced by Nasco records here in Nashville, Tn. Nasco Records also recorded Jarrett's talet in another single called "Let me off the next town". It wasn't just music that he enjoyed, but he was an admirer of artist Thomas Kincade, who he had the pleasure of meeting many years ago. Jarrett displayed his talent of art by drawing and painting with acrylic paints. He also enjoyed reading fiction of his favorite author Stephen King and the novel series, "The Dark Tower."
Jarrett was a good provider and always tried to meet the needs of anyone who called upon him. No matter what, he always gave his best. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He loved well . . . was well loved . . . and will be greatly missed.
Jarrett is survived by his daughter Jennifer Lemmons (Scott); Jay Landrum; his daughter Marti Ann Ferguson; his son Donovan Meador (Ashley); and his daughter Jamie Messina; his brother Jody Landrum; his grandchildren Hailee, Savannah, Donovan Jr., Chyanne, Nicko, Sierra, Charlee, Tyler, Cody, Sebastian, John Thomas, Christian, Hunter, Locklan, Sam, Sarah, Arianna,Adrian; his great-grandchildren Liam, Ryder, Kinslee, and Ruby, Hunter, Hayden.; Jarrett also leaves behind his feline companions George, Bo-Baby, and Bubba.
Jarrett was preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlie Landrum; his father, Joe Landrum, and his mother, Jessie (Harmon) Landrum; and his brother Jeff Landrum.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends for Jarrett on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Jarrett's Life at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
