She was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, to the late Edgar Earl Hendrickson and Sallie Belle Westfield Hendrickson. Mrs. Mitchell was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Mitchell Jr., a grandson, Christopher Michael Alford, and her siblings.
She is survived by her three children, Robert C. (Shaye) Mitchell, Ed (Fran) Mitchell and Lynn (Gary) Jernigan; eight grandchildren, Chris, Kelly, Kate, Lauren, Ashley, Scott, Erik and Kelly; and eleven great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted in the Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mike Adams officiating.
