

Donelson, TN
Age 78, died on November 29, 2013. She retired from The Hermitage, Home of President Andrew Jackson, in 1996 where she worked as a docent for 19 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church Donelson for 28 years. Prior to that, she was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church where she taught young adults for 25 years.
She was a graduate of Starkville High School in Starkville, MS.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Durward Reed Collier; four children and their spouses, Lisa and Bill Rollins, Cheryl and Roger Nash, Gina and Glen Ford, and Paul and Rachel Collier; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Audra and John Owens, Joseph and Margaret Rollins, Phillip and Lara Nash, Samuel Wolfe, Hannah Ford, Joshua and Joel Collier; and three great-grandchildren, Aidan and Neely Owens, and Levi Rollins.
The family cordially invites friends to gather for a time of remembrance and visitation on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 4-8 p.m., at Hermitage Funeral Home (535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory). A Celebration of Life service, officiated by James Cross and Jack Barron, will be held at First Baptist Church Donelson (2526 Lebanon Road, Donelson) at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2013. Interment to follow with an escorted procession to Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
The family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
