Although it has been some years since I've seen or talked with Jerry.  I've never met a man who was so giving of himself to others.  Nothing and I mean nothing was impossible for Jerry to make happen.  He transended that"can do" attitude with all who worked with him. He always seem to transcend the good in all of us.  He will be truly missed.

It's been a while since I've seen Jerry however there are people that you meet along the way that you never forget.  My heart goes out to the family as I know Jerry will be missed but his spirit will always be with them.  Keep him close to your heart and he will never leave your side.

Daddy,

I have tried to write to you so many times, but I have had to stop every time because it makes this all too real.  My heart hurts so much.  I miss you more than you will ever know.  As I sit here with tears streaming down my face, I would do anything to have you back for even just five minutes.  I know that is so selfish and I am so sorry.  

You taught us to be strong in times of sorrow, but this is just more than I can handle.  I miss your daily phone calls just to say "hey, what are you doing".  I miss your text messages that said "have I told you today how much I love you"?  I look at those several times a day and I will forever cherish them.

I know you are in a much better place, holding and loving on my precious Taelor, where all your pain is gone and you are whole again, with nothing but peace and happiness, but the selfish part of me wants my daddy back.

I will always be thankful to God for bringing you back to us for that week.  The smiles and the laughter will be etched in my head and heart forever, but most of all I will forever remember me saying "I love you dad, and you looked me in the eyes and said - NOT AS MUCH AS I LOVE YOU".  At that moment, I was so excited and of course, rubbed it in Terri and Jerry's face, but now I know what you were doing; you came back to tell us all how much you loved us and that we would be ok.  

I am also very thankful for the conversation that Jerry and I had with you when you told us "I AM NOT AFRAID".  At the time, we didn't know we were going to lose you, but now we know that was just another "message" you were giving us before you had to leave us.  

Dad, I really don't know how to go on without you physically in my life every day, and I know over time it will get a little easier, but right now the pain is so raw.  I need you to help me get through this.  I need you to give me the strength to go on in a world without you.

I promise to do my best to make you proud, Dad.  I will try to always be the person you taught me to be and grow each day.  I also promise to take care of Qing and Tian and always be there for them.

I don't want to end this letter because it feels like everything is so final, but I know that you are always with me and God has promised that we will be together again one day.  So, this is not goodbye, it is just "see you later."

Thank you for being such an incredible father and know that I love you with all my heart and soul.  Please always watch over and protect our family.  Please come visit me in my dreams.

To the England family, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.  I had the pleasure of working with Jerry for several years at Regions Bank, and it was a privilege to know him.

To all the England family, please know that our prayers and thoughts are with you.  WE knew Jerry through our daughter, Tammy, who is married to Jerry, Jr.  It was so hard to see pictures of Jerry in the hospital, and I would much rather remember him with that head of beautiful hair and great big smile!  The England family always included us in gatherings when we were in town, and we have missed seeing all of you since leaving the Nashville area.  I have a feeling Jerry was with us on the 16th at the LSU game at Tiger Stadium, watching the action.  As I watched the Tiger band, all I could think of was my Tammy telling about the band playing the Alma Mater for Jerry after the Vandy/LSU game.  How cool was that?!  We will miss him.

Jerry -

I suppose I have put this off as long as I can.  I just still don't know how to put into words what you meant to me.  Then I realized that this doesn't have to be a goodbye message it is just "See you later..." and TRUST ME I will see you later.  Selfishly I will miss having you here to see and touch and talk to, but I know you are happy, comfortable, and pain free and that you now know all the answers to the questions that remain for the rest of us. 

You were more than a friend to me you were sometimes like a Father with advise and help.  You never treated us as if we were anything less than family and I couldn't love you more if you were my family. 

I have found myself over the last few weeks at times sad when I thought about a world you weren't in and at other times so happy knowing you are finally where we all aspire to be. 

Words will never ever be enough to truly explain what you meant to us, but I will simply say WE LOVE YOU!  

(OH AND BY THE WAY...As soon as I get there you and I are going to have a little "conversation" about that whole last minute crazy football nonsense and you know what I'm talking about!)

Terri, I am so sorry to hear about your dad.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with the  England family during this time. I met Mr. Jerry through his daughter Tammy many years ago. 

It was truly an honor to have spent time with Mr. Jerry, he was always cheerful and had an awesome SMILE that lit up the room when he entered. 

He was a very devoted man to his family and friends, and always made you feel as part of the family. 

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jerry was always the most delightful man I've ever known. His great sense of humor kept me laughing on our e-mails. He and Qing were just adorable together, and his love for her was very prevelant. Jerry reminded me a lot of my own Dad, who was also a delightful man!  I would always tell Jerry he missed his calling; he should have been a stand-up comedian. It saddens me that we will no longer hear that humor; but then, I am joyful that I know where he is, and I'm sure he's keeping the angels laughing about something. 
I and my husband, Ron, dearly loved Jerry England!  He will be greatly missed.

I think and pray about you all every time I get the chance. Your dad was a wonderful person to be around and always had a way to make me laugh. I know right now is a hard time to understand what has happened and why he had to leave and the only verse I can think of is Psalm 34:18
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit". I hope that in the time that passes you all find comfort that he is in a better place and looking down upon us smiling.

I remember the first time I saw\met Jerry 'Pop'. I remember thinking he must be one of the strongest men that I have ever met. He stood at the pulpit at Taelor's funeral service and spoke of how she had touched so many hearts in such a short time. She got that quality from her 'Pop'. From that point on, I have had the pleasure of getting to know the entire family. 

After awhile, Jerry would introduce a member of his family and I would speak up and say "I am the adopted Daughter" At first, it was a joke between us. Over time, Pop treated me like one of the family.

I have seen the family go through many good times as well as bad. Through it all, they have stuck together which speaks highly of 'Pop' and his character to love everyone. 

No one is every ready to let go of a loved one. Please remember Pop has gone to be with our Heavenly Father and will no longer struggle. 

To my Adopted Family - The loss of Pop will leave everyone with a hole in their heart. The days ahead will be sad but you must hold on to the good memories and each other for comfort. God will not forsaken you during this time. Remember, I am only a phone call away if you need me.

My family and I would like all to know that Jerry will be sadly missed by us in Texas. Yes, Jerry reached out to us and we just had to get to know his family. My wife and child along with my mother and father had the best Thanksgiving ever in Nashville (2007)!      Scott, Xiao and Clint ( Arlington, Texas)

We all cherish very much our families, brothers and sisters and over the period of time I came to know Jerry and Dong Qing Xie and Tian, the love of family grew withinn us. Qing also known as Rose and I became as sister and brother. We adopted each other in our heart as brother and sister just the same as if born that way. I deeply regret the passing of Jerry as we became friends and I will carry the memories in my heart always. Prayers are always with my sister Rose and love forever for her and Tian. Your brother Rick Andrews will love you all forever.

I don't even know where to begin with Mr. Jerry, him and 2 of his daughter Tammy & Terri and their boys were some of the first people I met when I moved to Nashville with my boys.  I met them at Rotary Baseball Park, the one thing I will always remember about Mr. Jerry is he was at almost if not all of the games and  he didn't just cheer for his grandson's her cheered for all the boys.  He had a way of keeping the parents laughing and having fun even if our teams lost.  Of course we all knew when he was there with all his LSU on, between him and Tammy I am now and always will be LSU fan.  My heart goes out to his entire family, how lucky this family was to have him as a Father, husband and grandfather.  He will truly be missed by myself and so many people. He of course is watching over all of us and he will live on forever through everyone he touched in his life including me.

Tammy, Pops daug, was and is still my best friend since 10th grade. Pop always made me feel like part of the family. This man spent the greatest time of his life with his family and his favorite football team. We are all better for having loved him. He will be missed but we will always carry him in our heart.

How could anyone who has EVER met this man NOT Love him instantly. Pop had that infectous personality that people just responded too. He was a perfectionist with very high standards both of himself and others around him. 

Pop, I promise to do everything I can to Love and Protect this family the way you taught/expected us too.

I think that while you're on this Earth, you are a student of life. Often you might wonder what your progress report would look like... I'm honored to say that Jerry earned an 'A+' in his life lessons and probably taught us more than he'll ever know. From father, friend, grandfather, employee etc.. Jerry gave it his best and with a smile! Always a kind word to say and usually a joke or smile to go with it. He was truly one of a kind!

Rest in Peace... you are a good friend, a good father and a good man

It has been some time since I'd personally seen Jerry, but I will always fondly remember his smile and kindness he bestowed on everyone.  He made all he came in contact with feel welcome and embraced them with love.  Family and friends, I will keep you in my thoughts during this difficult time. I know he is watching over you.

I will miss him and his great hugs. I am his wife Qing and Daughter Tian's Hair Stylist. He would always come with the girls and we have always had the best conversations. He loved them very much as they loved him. They never leave without giving me a hug and I will miss him and his conversation and his hugs. I will have to give Qing and Tian an extra hug for him always. He will be very missed by all who knew him always.

Where do you begin on how to explain the type of MAN pop was I might not know everything there was to pop or what his past was like but I know that the time that I had with him in life will never be forgotten he was another grandfather to me I wish I would have got to know him alot better than I did he was a all around great person and I wish he was still around but he is in q better place and no longer is hurting and he still has his eyes on us and we all still have him in our hearts and in our minds he created so many memories that have been flashing through my head over the past couple days I'm am going to try to make it to the memorial to help support my family through this struggle but I know in my heart that if I can't make it that pop can see why and that I love and miss him

Although I had not seen Jerry in several years.  I can still remember  his very handsome smile as he walked the halls of NNA.  God has a beautiful angel with Him now.  I pray for peace for the entire family.

My sincere condolences to the England family. Jerry was a great coworker for several years and his friendship will truly be missed. Jerry consistently received high praise from those he worked with and was always willing to go the extra distance in any task. Many in the Regions Bank family often asked about how Jerry was doing in recent months and I know they share in CBRE's sense of loss. We will miss him and we will all keep fond memories of Jerry.

Though we have been brother and sister for a short time, Jerry made it seem that we had been in each other's hearts all our lives.   I loved him dearly and will not forget the precious time we had together this Spring.  I know that he is in a better place and my life is richer from him being in it. Although we are very far geographically, we are together with you, with your sorrow and if there is anything we can help with please inform us. We very much regret that the long distance prevent us from being with you. For me Jerry was a gentleman, curious like a child, professional and accurate as German engineer, with the best technical skills I ever saw but above all of it he was human, full of empathy to everyone and with endless love for his family. I become his best friend five minute after meeting him and I hope he felt the same as it was so easy to love him. I am sad but maybe the only comfort for us and probably for you is to know he leaved his life his way, intensely, meaningfully and with a lot of love, empathy and care to his family (I am not sure you will ever understand with how much love he spoke about all of you) and people around him, leaving to his  beloved the right legacy and values to continue with.

I knew Jerry through Tammy and Nick( my brother) way back in high school. He opened his home to us on several occasions and was always a loving and caring father to Tammy. He was truly a devoted LSU fan and Tammy gave him a great time by attending a Vandy/LSU game with him just recently. I'm sure he is still smiling from the great time he had with his family. May god bless all of his family, for he has certainly been a blessing to them, I'm sure.

Although it has been over 5 years since I've seen Jerry, I could never forget the smile that was always on his face!  I relished my time at NNA, and get to know Jerry and the whole England family was a blessing!  He loved his family so much, and he treated everyone that worked at NNA as a part of his family.  God called one of his angels home, and one day we will meet again!  Your family is in my prayers!

I have never met anyone with a stronger will to live than Jerry England.  It was second only to his love for Qing and his kids and grandkids, family and friends.  Memories are the gift from God, that death cannot erase.  Jerry left everyone with many fond memories.  I can  just see him in Heaven sporting those purple sunshades.  We'll miss you Jerry... We love ya man!!!!

My heartfelt condolences to Qing, Tian, Tammy, Terri, Brenda, Jerry and all the England family.  I am so glad I was able to visit Jerry a few days ago.  Even though he was very, very poorly, he still had one of his magic smiles for me, and we said "love you" to each other as the nurse was making him a little more comfy.  I met Jerry while working at NNA and, like so many other people, I knew we would become friends.  How could anyone not love and respect him.  His wonderful sense of humor would take the sting out of many a horrid work day.  He was so kind and generous and helped me out many times at my condo from installing a light fixture to putting in a new toilet.  He did everything so perfectly and cheerfully as well.  We had many good laughs (I have to admit, sometimes at other people's expense, but we weren't really that bad.... honest!).  I also have to admit that I was terribly envious of his perfect hair -- unlike me, he never had a bad hair day.  In closing I would like to say that in every sense of the word Jerry was a gentleman, was very proud of his family and I was so very honored to have known and to have been his friend. How do I express my deep and abiding love for Jerry?  Words don't seem adequate.  They seem flat and insignificant.  Truly, Jerry was my friend.  We laughed together (a lot) and acted silly together (a lot) and shared together (a lot).  He is my daughter's Uncle Jerry and she loves him as I do and we both realize that in time, we'll meet again.  The thick beautiful hair will again cover his head and he'll have that twinkle in his eye again as he roots for his Tigers.  We'll miss you down here, Jer, but are so glad that you no longer suffer.  We'll see you again soon.  And don't worry.  I well remember the promise I made to you that day.  Qing, Tian, Jerry, Tammy and family: He is always alive.  Just look inside you.  He'll always be near your heart.  Much love to each of you and I am here to do whatever I can.
