

Jerry Wright, 76, of Donelson, Tennessee, passed away on May 6, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was marked by deep faith, unwavering love for his family, and a passion for sports and God.
Born on March 4, 1949, in Donelson, Jerry was a proud alumnus of Middle Tennessee State University, where he played football and earned a master’s degree in psychology. He went on to build a successful career as a real estate appraiser, owning and operating his own business, Wright 1 Appraisal. Jerry was known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and dedication to his clients.
Jerry was married to his devoted wife, Donna Wright, for 32 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Howard Wright and Mary Waggner Wright, and his brother Wayne Wright. He is survived by his brother Danny Wright (Marcie), his sister Beth Wright, and his two sons, Daniel Etheridge (Morgan) and Chad Etheridge (Jennifer). Jerry was a proud grandfather to Shay, Kellar, Ava, Jacie, Rockland, Leo, and Mickey, and a cherished uncle to Charlotte, Danny, Scott, and Michael.
A faithful and active member of Green Hill Church of Christ, Jerry’s faith was the foundation of his life. He found great joy in attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, cheering them on with pride. A lifelong baseball fan, Jerry especially loved Mickey Mantle. He also enjoyed lunching with his close friends at McDonald's and the American Legion, working out and weightlifting, and spending time with his beloved boxer puppies.
Jerry’s life was full of love, laughter, and meaningful relationships. His presence brought joy to those around him, and his legacy will continue through the lives he touched.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Both will take place at Green Hill Church of Christ 11706 Lebanon Pike Mt Juliet, TN 37122.
