Jesse L. Hays Jr. 90, of Madison passed away on Oct 30, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse L. Hays Sr and Jewell Hays, his wife Glenda Fontenay Hays, brother Gene R. Hays and wife Clara, brother in law Lee Venable and a special friend Wilma Wilson and his pet Floppy. He is survived by his sister Elizabeth Venable Hill and Husband Ernie Hill, many nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of East Nashville High School class of 1949. He was drafted into the US Army durning the Korean War 1951-1953. Jess enjoyed baseball, fishing and golf. He was a member of the American Legion Post #82 and retired from the US Postal Service. The family would like to thank the nurses at Skyline Medical Center. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Monday Nov 2 from 11 am until 1 pm with Celebration of Life services at 1 pm. Entombment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers.
