Joan Black Blanton, age 80 passed away Monday, February 20, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, William K. Blanton. Survived by her daughter, Karen (Mike) Woodside; sons, James (Polly) Blanton and Tom (Mylinda) Blanton; brother, Jerry (Sue) Black; sister, Shirley (Warren) Von Haven; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 in Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
