I am just today finding out that Johnny has passed and my heart is aching. I can never forget that laugh and twinkle in his beautiful eyes. We went to school (from elem. and on) and Church together, along with Glenn Johnson.  Both of them were like brothers to me.  Have a bad day? Johnny would show up around midnight with Whitts Bar-b-que, a story and a giggle to turn your day around.  Love you brother, so does my mom and dad.  I hope you are with my brother Greg, in heaven, listening to some CCR! You will never be forgotten.

JOHNNY HE WAS MY SWEETHEART  ..WE  MEET IN VA. HE WAS ON THE CORAL SEAS  .. HE HAD THAT GIGGLE HE SURE DID RIGHT NOW I STILL SMILE  THINKING ABOUT HIS CHECKS  THEY WOOD GET SO RED CAUSE HE WOOD SAY SOMETHING OR DO SOMETHING  AND THINK DID I DO THAT OR SAY THAT  AND THROW HIS HANDS UP AND THAT GIGGLE. AND IF KNOW JHONNY  THEN YOU KNOW ..   MISS YOU 

The Edwards family moved down the street from us while I was in 7th grade. I first met Johnny and Jay while we were playing back yard football. Johnny had that giggle and laugh that would brighten your day and also make you laugh. Johnny would come up to the house visiting and was always pleasant and polite to my parents and Grandfather. I can remember on snow days playing football in the snow in the field next to their house and when it got to the point our fingers were numb due to the snow and cold, we all would go to our house and build a fire in the fireplace to get warmed up. When my Grandfather, who lived with us, passed away, Johnny was the first neighborhood friend who showed up to show his support to Brian. Rest is peace Johnny. You made an impact on a lot of lives including our family. You will be missed.

Johnny, Martin Becker and I ran together throughout middle school and most of high school. Loved to hear him laugh. It was absolutely contagious. 
I am unavoidably detained today and will likely not make it to the funeral home . To Meaghan, Tracey, Jay, and Jeff; I loved your brother (father), my brother from another mother. He will be missed and thought of fondly.  God grant you peace in this sad time.

Johnny was my favorite,  his smile would light up a room. And his laughter was contagious.   My fondest memories were when we traveled to see the family,  Johnny and I went fishing rode around town and  laughed till we cried.   I have letters from Johnny when he was in the Navy.  Johnny was a good man with a heart so big.   I will miss my cousin 

Talk about childhood memories.  Johnny and his family moved to Mount Juliet our 5th grade year (I think). We both played baseball but we never on the same team but were always playing backyard baseball and football for years.  We had wiffle ball leagues in his backyard,  football games in my backyard and, during snow days, we would have tackle nerf basketball games in my house after we cleared all the furniture out of the way and put hoops on each end of the room.  What started out as us abiding by basketball rules ended up us tackling each other and laughing like crazy at the end.  If you have ever heard of fist fights over Monopoly games, that was us, and the one who was visiting would leave, followed by a phone call within an hour to come back over.  I was in the car with him as he learned to drive in his parents Chevette in the field by his house.  We both joined the military after high school and we hooked up just after he got out (I stayed in) and we shared drinks and hangovers.  I last saw him about 7-8 years ago when I was in town. I drove from the airport to his house and we caught up for a few hours.  We lost touch after that and connected again on FB a few weeks ago.  As mentioned, he had that infectious giggle.  Rest in heaven my friend.  

Johnny and I are cousins , I've always enjoyed being around  him  he made me laugh . He would call me and we would always be talking about our family , remembering the past memories He loved his family so much . I'll never forget you Johnny , and your laughter .You will be missed  love you Linda
