Bud was born January 25, 1936 in Springfield, Missouri, to the late John Nathaniel and Lora Wells. He is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Bill, Mary, Polly, and Inez.
Bud was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps. He spent most of his career in the building industry and was the proud owner of Wells Fireplace for twenty-five years with his wife, Janet. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time with close friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He was a fan of the Tennessee Titans, and he and Janet could be found in section 137 at almost every Tennessee Titans home game.
Some of Bud’s favorite hobbies included cooking and making sketches. He told lots of funny stories, offered help to many people, visited his Mennonite friends almost weekly, loved to fix things and would offer advice whenever needed. He knew how to do so many different things.
Bud is survived by Janet Ingram Wells, his loving wife of forty years, his children, and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by Janet, Gina, Chuck, Kelton, and Caroline, as well as close family and friends.
Services and interment will be private.
