Judy Mae Thomas

Judy is preceded in death by her father, James Brown; her mother, Bessie Brown; her loving husband, Jerry William Thomas; her sister, Wilma Brown; her brother, Junior Brown, and a son, Larry Wayne.

Judy is survived by her son, Samuel Thomas; her daughter, Terry Sue Wainwright; granddaughters Samantha McFarland (Phillip) and Heather Thomas. She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren.

There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends for Judy on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138. A Celebration of Judy's Life will follow at 11:00 AM in the Tulip Grove Chapel at the funeral home with Don Loftis officiating. Following the service, Judy will be laid to rest at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN. There will be a procession led by police escort from the funeral home to the cemetery immediately following the Celebration of Judy's Life.
