Kenneth Carlyle Koontz

Kenneth Carlyle Koontz, age 63, of Old Hickory, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024. He was born on November 28, 1960 in Nashville, TN to his parents Ernest Carlyle and Cora Louise Knipfer Koontz who preceded him in death.

Kenneth was a Christian and was a member of the Baptist faith. He attended school locally and some of his favorite things to do were going to the movies, going out to eat, spending time with grandson going to Dave and Busters and napping at Altitude Trampoline Park while his grandson Remy jumped on the trampolines. He enjoyed Harley’s and fast cars and was a gun enthusiast which led him to a career as a police officer. He loved dogs and cats. He loved shopping and showering his loved ones with gifts. He also loved rocking in his rocking chair much like his dad. He was a wonderful man who will be dearly missed by his loving family, friends and all the ever knew him.

Kenneth is survived by his children Devin Davis and Brianna Davis, by his grandson Remy Combs, by his sister and brother-in-law Connie and Wayne Vanderpool and by his nephew Jason Vanderpool.

A graveside service for Kenneth will be held Monday, September 16, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138 in the Garden of the Good Shepherd.
