Kenneth was an Iron worker at Ironworks Local 492. Later, he owned his own business, Quality Steel Service, until retirement.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Nellie Wakefield; a sister Patricia Lape; brothers Jerry Wakefield, David Wakefield, and William Wakefield.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sherron Wakefield; sons Kenny Wakefield and Jacob Wakefield; daughters Cathy Hamilton, Nikki Wakefield, Kelly Wakefield, and Alyssa Wakefield.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends Friday, January 28, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will begin at 12pm. Kenny Wakefield, Elliot Neal, Jason Wakefield, Rodney Good, Michael Brandon, and Shawn will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pete Wakefield, Bob Wakefield, and Judy Brandon.
