Mr. Garrett worked at DuPont for over 30 years and was a founding member of Victory Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting in his free time.
He is survived by his wife, Jean E. Garret, of 62 years; sister Kaye (Tommy) Everett and many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
Mr. Garrett is preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Garrett.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 2:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Hermitage Funeral Home with Dr. Chuck Groover officiating. Burial will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Victory Baptist Church.
