By profession, Linda was a registered nurse and worked just about every area of health care from an emergency room in Los Angeles, to pediatrics to psychiatric wards. Most recently, she managed health care in 92 facilities for Corrections Corporation of America, the largest private prison company in America housing more than 70,000.
Linda and husband, Randy, retired at the same time and purchased a motor home. For nine years, they traveled the country and managed furniture liquidations across the country. They finally decided to settled down and enjoy retirement in the quiet home they’d built and that Linda had decorated so eloquently.
Linda was very organized and detailed. Above all, she was very loving. She, especially, doted on her grandson. Linda loved well . . . was well-loved . . . and will be deeply missed.
Linda is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Brayton; her mother, Irma (Mason) Brayton; and her daughter, Jill Heist. She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-seven years, David “Randy” Lincoln; her son, Tim Heist of Eugene, Oregon; her grandson, Cross Newman of Clarksville, Tennessee; and her brother, Jeff Brayton of Jacksonville, Florida.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends for Linda on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, Tennessee. A Celebration of Life will begin in the Tulip Grove Room at the funeral home at 12:00 pm.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the Lincoln family at HermitageFH.com.
