Luna May Mains passed in the arms of her parents on Monday, July 12 2021. She was born on August 9, 2019 under a waxing moon, and entered this world with a bang. Luna fought a long and hard battle after receiving a bone marrow transplant from her brave sister, Olive. Though much of Luna’s life was colored by her sickness, she had an exuberance for life that touched everyone around her. She was always smiling, continuously pulling people into her orbit, and always bossing everyone around. She was the bravest warrior and taught us, daily, how to fight. She passed tiny gifts of joy out to those she loved and they are scattered across the world like stars in the sky. Luna’s light was as bright as the moon on a dark night and her life was a gift to everyone who knew her. She is the daughter of Nick and Lindsay Mains. She is survived by her sister, Olive Alyse Mains who is her hero and her best friend.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at The Wedding Woods at Circle S Farms, Lebanon, TN on Saturday, July 17 at 10am. There will also be a visitation with her family at Hermitage Funeral Home on Friday, July 16 from 4-6pm.
Flower donations are being accepted through Ostara Gardens. We would be honored to have you support Living For Everything in Luna’s memory. They are a local non-profit that supports children and families that are navigating the journey of bone marrow transplant.
Our love for Luna is as big as the world she touched and to the moon and back. Thank you for celebrating her life with us. Fond memories, pictures, and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the Mains family by selecting "Add a Memory" at the bottom of this page.
