Marie W. Bucy

BUCY, Marie (Rhea) Worrell – Mrs. Bucy entered into rest on August 30, 2011. She was 89 years of age and was a native of Nashville, TN and a member of Saturn Drive Baptist Church. Mrs. Bucy lost her husband at the age of 50 due to cancer. After his death she dedicated her life in assisting and raising her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Luther Clyde Bucy, Jr.; daughter, Linda Bucy Garrett; parents, Effie Mae Riggan Worrell & Marshall Ingram Worrell; sisters, Susie Mae Benson & Rose Pearson; brothers, George R. Worrell, Eugene W. Worrell & Frankie Glenn “Chunk” Worrell. Survived by brother, Marshall “Bug” Worrell (Buelah) of Livonia, MI, son, Sonny (Nicki) Bucy of Viola, TN, Johnny (Sue) Bucy of Watertown, TN.; six grandsons, Troy Bucy, Craig Bucy, Jason Bucy, Kevin Garrett, Brian Davis, & Kirk Garrett; Two granddaughters, LeAnn Merritt & Lori Nutter; eleven great-grandchildren, Coty, Graem, Jordan, David, Abigail, Haleigh, Mara, Jaylyn, Autumn, Hayden, & Karsyn. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens with Bro. David Farmer and Pastor Jason Lohorn officiating. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Troy Bucy, Craig Bucy, Jason Bucy, Kevin Garrett, Brian Davis, & Kirk Garrett. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Gordonsville, TN building fund.
