Martha is going to be missed by so many people.  My Mother and I saw her for many years every tuesday morning.  She would have sausage and biscuit fixed for everyone.(George Jones of course).  What a precious Lady.  We love you Ms. Martha.

I have only known "Miss Martha" for about two years.  She made me feel welcome at Trevecca Towers.  She always was friendly and spoke to me.  I rode with her on our trips to Gatlinburg, Miss Patty's, and the Amish Community.  We shared a lot of good and funny conversations.  She was a Lady.  I will always remember how nice and kind she was to me.  I wish I could be there in person but I have a cold.  My prayers are with Miss Martha's family.

I had the privilege of working with "Miss Martha" at Barbara Mandrell Country for several years, and she was such a joy to be around!  I hate to say we'd lost touch somewhat in recent years, but usually exchanged Christmas cards, at least.  So sorry to hear she's gone!

Mrs. McGown, as I called her in my youth, Ms. Martha later on, was my second Mother.  She always welcomed me (sometimes wondering when I would leave, I am sure) and never once made me feel less than special or that I had worn out my welcome, which I surely did.  She was a true lady, in words and deeds.  She had dignity, style and grace, she was well respected and treated others with dignity and respect.  Life handed her some tough times, but her true character always shown through.  Always a smile and a kind word, even when I didn't like something she'd cooked! (I was a very picky eater.)  At one point, she let me stay for more than three weeks.  We'd sit at the kitchen table and play games for hours or days on end!  She was my second Mother and the one I tried to emulate in my own life with my children.  I know her family will miss her very much. To all of her family, thank you for sharing your Mom with me!  She touched my heart & my life!  I am forever grateful for having the good fortune to have her in my life.  Praying for you all at this very sad time.

Martha will be missed.  She always had a good word for everyone.  When I moved here 8 years ago we played bingo together and always had a lot of fun.  Donna until I read your name as one of her daughters I didn't realize that she was your mom.  I met you at Personal Touch Pat Crossland did my hair and you did when Pat was out. Martha Jane will always be my defacto cousin.  When I moved to Trevecca Towers 10 years ago, and at her suggestion, she was extremely helpful in assisting in my acclimating to the Towers' culture.  She served in a number of capacities here; always being quick to be of assistance to anyone in need of help, assistance of any kind, or just a friendly, heart-felt word of encouragement.  I share in mourning her loss along with my cousinettes (her daughters) and the many other family members.  Regrettably, I am unable to attend her funeral due to personal limitations; however, I will be there in spirit.  I take comfort in knowing that she will be in good hands.
