Mary Evelyn (Neal) Vanderpool, 95, mother of Kenneth Morgan Vanderpool and Edward Neal Vanderpool (deceased), passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday night October, 9 at her home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Mary Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Jefferson Vanderpool, her father Johnny Martin Neal, her mother Blondell Dee (Gibbs) Neal, her sisters, Bettie Francis Neal, Annie John Keaton (O.D.), and Jo Payne (Zachary, Jr.).
Known for her years of quality seamstress work, Mary Evelyn will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Mary Evelyn’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Morgan Vanderpool (Sandra), and grandchildren Matthew Neal Vanderpool (Ket) and Jennifer Marie Hardaway (Richard), great-grandson, Mason Collins, and daughter-in-law, Brenda Vanderpool.
A brief private ceremony will be held at Hermitage Memorial Gardens in Old Hickory, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts should be made in her name to Fair Havens Independent Baptist Church, 1610 Riverview Dr., Murfreesboro, TN. 37129
