Mildred Sory Nabors, age 98, of Hermitage, Tennessee passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022. Mildred was born March 24, 1924 in Nashville, TN to her parents Grady B. Sory and Verna Smith Sory who predecease her.
Mildred was an administrative assistant for Vanderbilt University. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, baking and square dancing. She was one of the longest living members of Hermitage Presbyterian Church being a member since 1939. A wonderful woman, Mildred will be greatly missed by her loving family and all who knew her.
Mildred is predeceased by her loving husband Robert M. Nabors Jr who passed away on May 7, 2017, by her twin brother Milton Sory and by her sisters and brother-in-laws Bettye and John Hunt and Mary and Bob Fowler.
She is survived by her son Robert W "Bob" Nabors (Beverly), by her granddaughters Alisa Stantz and Tammy Nabors and by her great grandchildren Nash Gilreath and Hailey Stantz.
There will be a visitation for Mildred on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM with Rev Lesley Traylor of Hermitage Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hermitage Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
