Osbon was born June 27th, 1936, in Hazel Patch, Kentucky to the late William and Ruth Hacker. He attended Silver Springs Baptist church in Mount Juliet, TN. He was a distinguished Army Veteran of the 66th Armored Division - Hell on Wheels. He was a sharpshooter and a heavy vehicle tank operator and served the United States of America with distinction in Vietnam. He fiercely loved his country and was extremely proud to serve, defend, and protect its freedoms and citizens. His patriotism was evident to anyone who knew him and will live on as a testament to others.
He was a huge Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan and enjoyed countless hours watching games and cheering for his team. He was a devoted husband and father and worked hard to provide a good life for his family as a truck driver and correctional officer. He spent his retirement years enjoying attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and volunteering as a Range Safety Officer at the TWRA Hobson Pike Gun Range. He was named "Officer of the Year" multiple times and thoroughly enjoyed working to train others in how to properly handle and fire weapons.
