I knew Ricky for a long time. We use to chase girls together in high school. He was like a brother to me. We went clubbing together. Had the same ring of friends. I lost track when I moved out of Davidson county. Tried to locate him. Til now a great friend and will be missed 


I took some of these pictures and the Christmas of all of us in Rickey living room was a re-connection of our long friendship and you two.  Both of you healthy!  I had no idea you were sick or had left this world until Rickey's X-wife called me this week. I hope you did not suffer like Rickey did. thank you for all the talks and laughs and for being so kind to my boys. May you rest in peace my friend.

Cuzin Rick---You and Uncle Dewey picked on me really bad when I was a small kid and ALWAYS called my little red dog "doo-doo". 
I spent many days of my early years trying to figure out what would make you both understand her name was "dough-dough".
I remember getting truly-teary-eyed-many times. 
But that's when you would take me up in your lap, hug my neck and LET ME pull, twist and tangle your HIPPIE HAIR as long AS I WANTED.
As I grew up, it became clear: You and Uncle Dewey called my dog that bad name because it made ME feel special, extraordinarily special-as a niece and a first cousin-FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE.
I am going to miss you terribly Uncle Rick; way deeper than others can imagine...but you have joined Uncle Dewey and left me with the most special and precious feeling you ever could have, ............
I CAN GIVE THANKS AND BE FOREVER GRATEFUL that I once had a dog named doo-doo!!!!! 
The Lord really does work in mysterious ways.
REST IN PEACE UNCLE RICK, REST IN PEACE!!!!

Will miss you most of all at Aunt Pearl's holiday gatherings; you always made me feel a part of the Flatt family, even from the first time I met you in 2011.  May your journey to heaven be peaceful; be sure to teach all those angels how to enjoy the great outdoors!

My son Kyle and I thought a lot of you and will never forget your kindness. We was in hopes of seeing you on your Property in Wayne County.
