Roland began serving his country in the United States Air Force on October, 2, 1961. He received an honorable discharge on October 1, 1965 having worked as a jet engine mechanic on C130 planes. He was stationed at Sewart Air Force Base in Smyrna, TN.
Roland was self-employed, maintaining a General Contractors License in Air Conditioning and Heating. While living in Texas, he served his community as a City Council Alderman for two years, beginning April 1, 1978. Following that time, he served as Mayor of Shenandoah for two additional years. Roland served as a deacon in two Presbyterian Church locations in Texas and loved working around and inside the church. His favorite hobby was building and flying U-Line model airplanes and enjoyed teaching many youth to fly, as well.
Roland is predeceased by his father, Alejandro “Alex” Trevino; his mother, Ofelia Amalia (Garza) Trevino; his sister, Elsa Olivia (Trevino) Hamer; his brother, Alex Trevino; and by a granddaughter, Jaime Marie Liddle. Roland is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ruth Ryan Trevino; loving daughter, Catherine Marie (Trevino) Liddle (Jim); granddaughters Caitlyn Marie Liddle, Jenna Lynne Liddle, and Briley Nicole Liddle.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Roland on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Cloyd’s Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 595 West Division Street, Mount Juliet, TN at 12pm. Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 11am – 12pm.

Roland’s mother, brother, and sister suffered from this disease and donations are greatly appreciated.
