Sharon was born in Hermitage, Tennessee on January 8th, 1964 and graduated from Dupont Senior High school in 1982. Sharon married her high school sweetheart and love of her life on April 22nd, 1995, and they spent 27 years in a beautiful marriage together. Sharon and Mike had two kids, Sarah on July 16th, 1997 and Joby on August 4th, 1999 respectively. Sharon worked diligently in the lives of her family and was the glue that held everything together.
Sharon was a God-fearing woman who loved her family and put everyone in front of herself. She was the epitome of a strong woman, and she always had an optimistic outlook even in the hardest of situations. She was fierce and determined while also having one of the sweetest and most loving hearts that can be found. She was an incredible wife to her husband and mother to her children, and she constantly made sacrifices to serve them well. She was a friend to everybody and loved spending time with others. While Sharon will be dearly missed among all who knew her, she has left an impact on countless people’s lives that will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years Michael Gaines; children Sarah Gaines and Joby Gaines; parents Stephen and Stella Maddux; sister Karen (Jeff) Rutledge; brother Stephen (Patty) Maddux Jr.; brother in law Steve (Penny) Gaines and sister-in-law Julie (Chad) Louge and her mother in law Gayle Gaines.
Gathering of family and friends Sunday April 3, 2022 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home, Celebration on Life will begin at 3:00pm in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home. Burial following in the Garden of Peace at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
