He was the son of Christine Dempsey. Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents Grady and Mattie Lee Dempsey, aunt/uncle Barbara Dempsey Raney (Royce). He is survived by cousins Claire Raney Baltz and Paul Raney.
Mike was a lifelong resident of Old Hickory, TN where he graduated from Dupont High School. He was a proud graduate of Belmont University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He was working at the Tennessee Department of Agriculture at the time of his death.
A visitation for Mike will be held Monday, April 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138, followed by a graveside service at 12:00 PM.
