Steve Leroy Coffin Nov 14, 1944 March 3, 2016 Mr Coffin held a career in public safety & service spanning over four decades. Served proudly with state, county, city and private sector agencies for over 48 years, in Alabama, Indiana, Texas, an Tennessee. A graduate of law enforcement academia's in Alabama and Indiana.

A proud recipient in numerous awards in Public Safety and private security.Military service U.S.M.C.R. 1962, Honorable discharge. Indiana Army National Guard, 38 Military Police. TRY 1 program, Honorable discharge 1976. Law enforcement memberships : Police league of Indiana in Indianapolis. American Federation of police in Miami, Fl. Sheriff's assoc. in Austin Texas. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge AF & AM .

Survived by children Steve, William, Louise and Carrie and Long time companion Cheryl Hailway .

Services will be held 3 pm Sunday at Donelson Heights United Methodist Church with Rev Jim Hamilton and Rev Alan Black officiating. Interment at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Mr Coffin was a proud member of Wounded warriors project,Disabled American Veterans, Paralyzed American Veterans, American Legion and the Salvation Army.
