She was born on August 24, 1938 in Russellville, Alabama, the daughter of the late J.M. Snider and Annie Pilgrim Snider. She worked for Welcome Wagon.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Joe E. Garrett, and her daughter, Melissa McNabb.
She is survived by her son, Joe Garrett and his wife, Tammy; four grandchildren, Cole, Logan, and Blake Garrett, and Tara Duke; one great grandchild, Dallas, and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation with the family will be on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 one hour prior to the service.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Hermitage Funeral Home at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
