Vera York Barrett Williams

Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her first husband, Bennie Galyon, and second husband, Thomas Williams; parents, Riley and Susie Barrett; siblings Andrew Barrett, Malcolm Barrett, Elwood Barrett, Mary Barrett, Myrtle Barrett, Grace Gingrich, Robbie Barrett, Bessie Moore; and niece Barbara McDaniel.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her stepdaughter, Pam Thompson; a step-grandson, step great granddaughter; six nieces, six nephews, and many great and great great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Williams traveled the world with her first husband, who was in the Air Force, and worked as a civil secretary on military bases. After her second marriage, she loved being a homemaker, caring for her husband, and having family gatherings. The family is especially grateful and appreciative to her long-time caregiver, Judy (Clifford) Dodson.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends Monday, March 29, 2021, from 10:00 am -11:00 am at Hermitage Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 11:00am in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home.
