

Virginia Lynn “Ginny” Holmberg, age 50, formerly of Hermitage, Tennessee died Monday, February 12, 2018 at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born November 24, 1967 in Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated from McGavock High School in Donelson, Tennessee, where she was a member of the Color Guard in the Marching Band. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Donelson. After graduation, she pursued her passion for nursing at Volunteer State and completed her Bachelors Degree in nursing at Tennessee State University. She was employed by Century Health as an RN, before employment for the State of Tennessee, specializing in Home Health. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. W.P. Peek, and Mr. & Mrs. Cyrus L. Bray. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Marc A. Holmberg of Las Vegas, mother, Mrs. Carole V. Evans, father, Mel (Deirdre) Bray, and stepbrother, Keith Bray. Visitation Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 4 until 8 pm and 11 am till time of service on Monday. Service at 12:00 in the Hermitage Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jack Barron, and Rev. Jim Cross. Interment to follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers: Paul Heathcock, Steve Shelton, Jamie Shea, Adam Shelton, Brian Heathcock and Josh Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Holmberg, Bill Malone, Mike Coakley and Steve Geldrich. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
