Mrs. Lane graduated in 1956 from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas. As a spectator, she saw the first baseball game of the Kansas City Royals. She moved to Hermitage, Tennessee in 1956. Mrs. Lane worked in the accounting department for Gideons International until retirement. Following retirement, she occupied her spare time as an usher for the Nashville Predators and as a tour guide at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a long-time member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Nashville.
Mrs. Lane is preceded in death by her father, Milton Plater Wright; her mother, Elsie Marie (Brown) Wright; her husband of thirty-one years, Gordon Lane; her brother, Ronald “Bud” Wright; and sister-in-law, Rosalie Wright. She is survived by daughters Karen McCormick Perryman (Ed) and Lisa McCormick Crotts (Jay); grandchildren Justin Perryman, Kristin Perryman Streeter (Corey), Jay Crotts, III, and Jessica Crotts; great grandchildren Landon Perryman, Madeline Perryman, Laz Streeter, Jack Streeter, Asha Streeter, Satya Streeter; sister, Darlene Wright Stephens (Winston); and brother, Doug Wright. Mrs. Lane also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
There will be a time of visitation on February 27, 2024 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 2620 Pennington Bend Road, Nashville. A Celebration of Life service will begin in the church sanctuary at 11:00 am with Dr. Jim Hiatt officiating. Justin Perryman, Landon Perryman, Corey Streeter, and Laz Streeter will serve as pallbearers.
