

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He had a distinguished career in the lighting industry. He began in Olive Branch, Mississippi at L&P Lighting. He then owned his own Lighting Agency, CGL Lighting and finished his career at DesignLight in Nashville.
Bill enjoyed golf, gardening and was a master piddler. In his later years he enjoyed cooking, trying new restaurants, sipping a hot cup of coffee, “3 sugars, 2 creams” as he would say and his trusted companion “Lilly P. Dog.”
He is survived by his children Darren (Jennifer) Chamberlin, Carol (Chris) Gaines, Stacey (Mark) Hawke, Patricia Lane; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Mr. Chamberlin is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years Betty Chamberlin; his parents William and Mary Ruth Chamberlin and his siblings, Beulah Young, Mary Kathryn Treadway and Durward Chamberlin.
Gathering of family and friends Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 12:00-2:00pm at Hermitage Funeral Home. Celebration of Life begins at 2:00pm in the Tulip Grove Room at Hermitage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
