Mr. Morgan attended Isaac Litton High School, in Nashville, and graduated with the Class of 1957. Following graduation, he attended one year at Tennessee Tech University. While there, he met Barbara Hull, who became the love of his life. The two had been married for sixty-four years at the time of her passing in January of 2023.
Mr. Morgan worked for the FORD Glass Plant all his working career. He was a well-rounded individual with many interests. In earlier days, he played basketball and fast-pitch softball. He has always enjoyed playing golf and fishing, but his favorite pastime was probably traveling the world with Barbara. Being a sportsman, he was a fan of the Tennessee Titans and most recently began watching the Nashville Predators.
Mr. Morgan was a 32nd Degree Mason and a family man at heart. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. To his children, he was “Daddy”. His grandchildren called him “Papa” and his young great granddaughters were just beginning to call him “Grandpa”. He loved well . . . was well-loved . . . and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Morgan is preceded in death by his father, Harry Earl Morgan; his mother, Marguerite Smith Morgan; and his wife of sixty-four years, Barbara L. Morgan. He is survived by his daughter, Hollie Jackson (Greg) of Old Hickory, TN; a son, Nathan Ross Morgan of Ordway, CO; grandchildren Kassandra Mether (Gabriel), Michael Ross Morgan; William Ryan Morgan, Heather Jackson (Thomas “Trey” Ingram); great granddaughters Hadlee Ingram and Thyri Ingram.
