William "Bob" Robert Seagraves

William Robert "Bob" Seagraves, age 78, of Smyrna, Tennessee passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022. Bob was born on November 1, 1943 in Columbia, TN to his parents Edwin Desmond and Maggie Lee Fly Seagraves.

Bob worked in the Convenience Store industry as a Director of Operations. He was a member of Smyrna First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed many outdoor activities and sitting out back at his home enjoying nature. Bob was a lover of life, an accountant by trade, smart and witty, heck of a ball player and golfer, crack dove shot, and historian with an affinity for a Miller Lite. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Edwin Dale Seagraves and his sister Bettye Jean McKee (James "Jim"). He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Loretta L. Seagraves, by his sons Robert Shane Seagraves and William Scott Seagraves, by his granddaughters Raileigh Paige Seagraves and Brandie McDeavitt, by his great grandsons Elijah Hankins and Khi McDeavitt, by his sister-in-law JoAnn Seagraves, by his brother-in law David (Robin) Meadows, by his nephews Keith Seagraves (Laura) and Jason Meadows (Melissa) and nieces Beth Vick (Wes), Ruth Maxwell and Jean McKee (Jeff) and by several cousins.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday Oct 29, 2022, from 11 am until 1 pm at Hermitage Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Ln, Old Hickory, TN 37138, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 PM officiated by Pastor Theresa Johnson of Smyrna First United Methodist Church and by retired United Methodist minister Loyd Mabry.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
