Willie Mai “Bill” Vanderpool, age 88 of Old Hickory, TN, passed away March 26, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Charles Vanderpool, Jr; sister, Hilda Massey Robinson; brothers, Harold Dean Massey & Robert Massey.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Vanderpool (Connie); grandson, Jason Vanderpool; sisters, Reba Tomlinson, Anna Appling & Ardelia Barnett. Mrs. Vanderpool was a homemaker and also a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be 12:00 pm Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, TN with Bro. Ray Clubb officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Family & friends will serve as active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Wednesday, March 30, 2016 and 1 hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
