Wilma loved her family dearly and her friends. She was a sweet, loving, and caring person. She loved people and always made everyone feel welcomed. She graduated from Dupont High School Class of 1949. She was voted "Prettiest Girl" that year.
After High School, she visited her sister, Lucille, in New Jersey. She stayed there and went to work for Dupont in Wilmington, Delaware. Upon retiring from Dupont, she returned to Old Hickory. She met Charles and they married.
Wilma was an excellent seamstress and cook. One of the most memorable things for everyone was the elaborate Christmas dinners. She and Charles hosted every year. They cooked all the food and the family truly enjoyed!
For the last several years, there was always "Sunday Dinner" at Wilmas. The family looked forward to this. Wilma had a beautiful voice. After eating, sometimes, she, Arthur, and Larry would sing and harmonize.
We want to thank the wonderful Caregivers from Home Instead of Lebanon and also everyone from Alive Hospice for their wonderful and loving care.
