Connie was born on April 3, 1941 in Worcester, MA, the daughter of Leon and Helen Szado. She graduated from St. Peter High School in Worcester. She has been a Realtor for her career working most recently with Coldwell Banker in the Old Lyme office.
Ms. Anderson is survived by her son Kenneth Anderson of Everett, Wa and daughter Kristin Luck of New Kent, VA, three grandchildren Jacob Furgurson, Elijah Luck, Samuel Luck, brother Tom Szado and sister-in-law Sandy Tanco and granddogs Hula and Sadie. Her close and dear friends are too numerous to name.
Her favorite pastime was playing cards. She particularly enjoyed winning everyone’s quarters playing “the quarter game”. She loved to tell the story about almost getting onto Wheel of Fortune one year when she was on a trip to Atlantic City.
Her children hold dear the memories of making traditional Polish golumpki and pierogi. She was adamant about using “real” salt pork, which cannot be found in Virginia or Washington, so she would bring an ample supply in her carryon bag. That really confused the TSA!
She led an adventurous life, enjoying trips to London, France, Italy and Ireland and numerous trips to visit Ken and Kris and her grandchildren.
