He was born on December 13, 1933, in Alton, MO, the son of the late Hershel and Bessie Elliott Norman.
Mr. Norman was employed for many years as a foundry man at Elm City Pattern Foundry in Branford.
He is survived by his wife Geraldine Norman, many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 3-5pm at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 13 Beckwith La., Old Lyme. An after service gathering will immediately follow at Rogers Lake Association Clubhouse.
