

Mrs. Dean was born on September 29, 1937 in Middletown, the daughter of Ernest and Eleanor (Diffin) Burnham. She was employed by (SNET and AT&T) for over 28 years then worked with Foxwoods Communications for 6 years.
Foxy loved watching the Red Sox, UConn Women and Nascar Races. She also enjoyed the Casinos and spending time with her grandsons at all their sporting events. She also enjoyed a good political conversation along with a glass of scotch. She excelled at gameshows-Jeopardy was her favorite and she was also a contestant on “Who wants to be a Millionaire” and she won. She loved Trivial Pursuit and Cribbage. She loved spending time with family and friends. Between Cruises, the speedbowl, Jai Lai and various trips Foxy was always up for an adventure and she always brought humor with her. She collected Foxes and LLadro and Pickle Jars and all things Snoopy “She made us laugh” she could be feisty.She loved to read..
Mrs. Dean is survived by her 2 daughters Vicki Dorothy and Paul of Old Lyme and Lori Hebert and Chris of Deep River and three grandchildren, Paul Dorothy and Amber of Clinton and Kevin Dorothy and Alyssa Weiss of Niantic and Jason Schaefer and Devan Serrano of Colorado. She is also loved by her 2 great-grandsons, Kodi Dorothy and Chase Schaefer. She is also survived by her close friend Carol Giorno of RI.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 2:00pm in Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 13 Beckwith Ln., and Old Lyme. A Visiting Hour will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00pm in the funeral home. Burial at Indian River Cemetery.
