

Died Sunday, November 20, 2016 Midstate Medical Center in Meriden surrounded by her family and loved ones after a brief illness. Jean was born on September 26, 1938 in Pottsville, PA, to Marlin (Mac) and Dorothy Bankes (Weisleder). Jean worked for many years as a timekeeper at Wallace Silversmiths. She then went on to work, and retired from MicroTech in Cheshire. After retirement, Jean relocated to Arizona for 12 years, returning permanently to Connecticut in June, 2015, where she resided with her daughter.
Jean was an active member of St. Christopher’s Church in Sun City, Arizona, and upon her return to Connecticut, became very active in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church choir and thrift shop in Wallingford. Jean was also an active member of the Connecticut Chapter of the Patriot Guard Riders . she also frequented the Wallingford Senior Center and made many friends there. Jean was loved by all who knew her.
Jean is predeceased by her husband of 39 years, John H. Liversidge, Jr.
Jean is survived by her 3 children, John H. Liversidge, III (wife, Linda), of Glastonbury, Linda Jean Liversidge-Daley of Wallingford and Wayne M. Liversidge (wife, Mary) of Wallingford, her grandchildren, Jason, Aimee, Samantha, Robert, Tyler and Bonnie and one great-grandchild, Haileigh-Jean of Kentucky and her faithful companion, Jasmine, and many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 65 North Main Street, Wallingford. Burial will follow at In Memoriam Cemetery, Wallingford. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s, Cancer Society or St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Midstate Medical Center for their constant care and attention during Jean’s last days.
