Richard "Riley" Ryan

Riley was born on August 16, 1989 in Ithaca, NY and was the son of Richard G. and Marie C. Ryan (Aggson). He graduated from Lyme-Old Lyme High School in 2007, attended several colleges including the University of New Hampshire, and was presently attending Northwestern Connecticut Community College. He was employed at the Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library in Old Lyme and several other local places and was currently employed at the Walgreens in Torrington, CT.

Riley was passionate about life and music. He especially loved to play guitar, bring people together, and to watch the New York Giants. He lived every minute as if it was a full moment.

He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his ability to make friends and keep them forever as well as his infectious smile, his charismatic warmth, and his quick wit.

In addition to his loving parents, Riley is survived by his sister Rachele Elizabeth Ryan of Old Lyme. He is also survived by his aunts Laura Holland (Bob) of Upper Black Eddy, PA, Christine Prendergast (Tom) of Brewster, NY, Michelle Hubbard (Charlie) of New Canaan, CT, and Yvonne Cusick (Steven) of Kensington, CA. He is survived by his uncles Alan Aggson (Susan) of Coeur d’Alene, ID, Joshua Aggson of Coeur d’Alene, ID, Dennis Ryan (Diane) of Stamford, CT, James Ryan of Delray Beach, FL, Michael Ryan of West Palm Beach, FL, and Terrence Ryan (Beth) of Litchfield, CT too. His maternal grandmothers Fran Fejer (Bela) of Logan, UT and Betty Aggson of Las Cruces, NM and his great aunts EJ Weiss of Lancaster, OH and Judy Weiss of Arlington, VA also survive him. Moreover, Riley is survived by Jessica Smith of Winsted, CT and numerous other loved ones.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents John and Kathleen Ryan and his maternal grandfather Thomas Aggson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 10:30am in Christ the King Church, Old Lyme.
