Barbara K. Winslow

Barbara Kent Winslow, 84, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2012 at her home in Westbrook, CT. Born on August 18, 1927 in Greenwich, daughter of Dorothy Kent MacDonald and the late Herbert Kent. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Winslow.

She is survived by her mother Dorothy, sister Patricia Hatter, brother James Kent, sister in law Roberta Kent and children James Winslow, Richard Winslow, and Suzan Persutti, all of Westbrook.

She also leaves behind her 9 grandchildren, Jamie and Richard Fisco, Joshua Winslow, Casey Winslow, Richard Winslow II, Daniel Winslow, Kelly Winslow, Lincoln Winslow, Richard Persutti, Katy Persutti and four great grandchildren, Daniel Winslow, Ashley Winslow, Kayla Winslow and Lola Fisco.

She was the much-loved mother in law to Stephen Persutti, Marianne Winslow, Martha Dexter, and Lynn Ricci. She was also a beloved Aunt, and Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Barbara worked for Conde Nast, in the Art Department, before raising her family in Old Greenwich CT. She was a long-standing member of Innis Arden Golf Club and Riverside Yacht Club. She and her husband Dick were relocated to Westbrook CT where she enjoyed boating, painting, and spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara, known as Baba to her family, loved sharing her waterfront home to host family gatherings.

A mass in memory of Barbara will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012, at 10:00 am at St. John Church, 161 Main Street, Old Saybrook, CT.
