Donna M Briere

She was the daughter of the late Martin and Evelyn Davidian of Old Saybrook, the wife

of Raymond Briere and the sister of Deborah Smith of Hilton Head, SC and Diane Dunn

of Noank, CT. Other relatives include nieces, Jennifer Connolly of Millstonetownship,

NJ, Marina Smith and Kyla Smith of Hilton Head, SC, a nephew, Kevin Dunn of

Barrington, RI, and six great nieces and nephews.

A life long resident of Old Saybrook, she graduated OSHS in 1979 and went on to get her

Associates Degree from Dutchess Community College . She was an area supervisor,

working for Clinton Nurseries for over 30 years until her illness.

She lived a simple life with simple needs. Her interests included family, friends, cooking

and numbers. She was more of a truck driver than a ballerina, with a rough voice, a loud

laugh and a large heart.

She would be the first to say – don’t mourn my loss but instead remember my presence.

She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Road, Old

Saybrook, CT on Friday the 17th at 5pm with a gathering afterward at the American

Legion Hall, 113 Essex Road in Old Saybrook.
