Dorothy Mae Larson

Larson- Dorothy Mae Larson 85, of St. Jude Common in Norwich, passed away Aug. 21, 2011. She was born in Ainsworth, Iowa on March 14, 1926, the daughter of the late Edgar and Vera (Warren) Blick. She graduated from Tuscarawas High School in Ohio in 1945. On June 19, 1945 she married Vincent Bartman Larson in Chester Ct. She is survived by a son and daughter in law, Vincent and Beth Larson of Norwich, and a son, William L. Larson of Akron Ohio. She also leaves a brother Ernest Blick of Dennison Ohio, a sister Ruth Hobart of Dover Ohio, several nieces and nephews, a grandson Erik and Joyce Larson of Colchester Ct., 2 grandaughters Emily and David Elliott of Myrtle Beach SC, and Elizabeth Larson of Norwich Ct. She also leaves 2 great grandsons. James and John Larson, and 2 great granddaughters, Cameron and Elliott Glynne. Dorothy loved being a housewife, gardening, knitting, collecting salt and pepper shakers, and playing Bingo. Visitation will be Wednesday August 24, 2011 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Swan Funeral Home 1224 Boston Post Road Old Saybrook. Funeral Service will be Wednesday August 24, 2011 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fountain Hill Cemetery Deep River.
